After the Storm | A Dave Karofsky Fan Mix
(For Day 7 of Dave Karofsky Week)
As we all know, more than a year has passed since we last saw Dave Karofsky, sitting in the hospital bed with nothing more than a thirty-or-so second dream sequence to appease the the Glee viewers, and namely Dave supporters, with the sly suggestion that Dave does, indeed, find happiness and love in his future. But I do believe that, wherever Dave is, he is happy and that he finds himself a guy who loves him and accepts him for who he is. These are the songs that inspire my headcanon in the continuation of Dave’s incredible journey. The future that we didn’t get to see…
01. Firewood - Regina Spektor
Rise from your cold hospital bed. You’re not dying. Everyone knows you’re going to live, so you might as well start trying.
02. Shake It Out - Florence and the Machine
And it’s hard to dance with a devil on your back. And given half the chance would I take any of it back.
03. Walk - The Foo Fighters
I’m learning to walk again. I believe I’ve waited long enough. Where do I begin?
04. One More Time With Feeling - Regina Spektor
Try it again. Breathing’s just a rhythm. Say it in your mind until you know that the words are right: ‘This is why we fight…’
05. Be Yourself- Audioslave
Don’t lose any sleep tonight. I’m sure everything will end up alright.
06. After the Storm - Mumford and Sons
There will come a time, you’ll see, with no more tears. And love will not break your heart, but dismiss your fears.
07. Ever After Happily - Jay Brannon
Another boy kissed me today. I laughed in his mouth. It’s not funny that I’m not kissing you. I’m not laughing because we fell through.
08. Brand New Day - Joshua Radin
For the first time in such a long time, I know I’ll be okay.
09. Feeling Good - Michael Bublé (Cover)
It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life for me.
10. On Top of the World - Imagine Dragons
I know it’s hard when you’re falling down, and it’s a long way up when you hit the ground. Get up now…
11. True Love Will Find You in the End - Hey Marseilles (Cover)
True love is seaching too, but how can it recognize you unless you step out into the light?
